I would like to recommend two great rentals.
First you need to see My Dinner with Andre. I saw this maybe 10 years ago and it made a slight impression on me. This time around I was impressed with how well it holds together and how much there really is in there. If you're struggling with how to live your life like many of us, you need to see this film again. (especially if you're an artist.)
Secondly, may I suggest Dirty Filthy Love, about a guy who has Tourette's and OCD. The English know how to make a good film. Not that it's perfect, but it is charming yet harsh and has an edge that hollywood can never get to. Definitely worth a look.

Yes, and be sure you make yourself some potato soup when you watch My Dinner with Andre. It's my recollection that they eat some great-looking potato soup in the course of the movie.
It'll be like you're sitting at the next table.
