I read Harry Potter and I have to say I'm really sad to see the series done. Almost sad enough that I am thinking of starting over from the first book and reading the whole series again.
I bought the book, read the last 30 pages, thought it was a satisfying ending and wondered if the screenwriter would include the epilogue when time came to write the script.
Other than those 30 pages, I haven't read any of the series... I will read them after the movies are finished.
This is because my wife had never read Lord of the Rings and the movies made sense to her... and she didn't feel parts were missing... so I'm going to do that for Harry Potter... read them after all the movies are out so I can read the books without thinking what will/won't be there when it gets to the screen
It's not logical to anyone else, I can't explain it, but it's how I'm going to do it.
I enjoyed reading the books before the movies because i could keep those actors out of my head. Now, they're in there for good, even if the movie hasn't been made of that particular book.

so you aren't going to join me in rereading the series I guess.
